Task at Hand
When a pump volute, impellor or Backplate wear out, they can wear out catastrophically or wear out just enough to reduce the performance of the pump.
Action Plan
HIH Technologies works with clients who capture their pumping assets before the failure mechanism is catastrophic and we apply DB_90C ceramic coatings to the volute, impellor and backplate as required to help bring the pump back to operating condition.
Results
HIH Technologies have customers who have recognized 3x – 10x life improvements of these assets with the added benefit that they can be repaired over and over again as long as future failures are not catastrophic in nature.
Environmental Impact
Every set of pump components that are repaired vs. replaced mean reduced lead times, reduced new material/energy consumption and reduced materials going to recycling or land fill (depending on the materials).
