Our HIH DURABIDE is a hard chrome plating replacement that extends the life and longevity of components against wear and erosion, and repairs or restores broken or cracked components. We are going away from hard chrome plating as the hexavalent chrome in that product eats ozone and is toxic to people during the application process. Our HIH DURABIDE materials technologies use less materials, less resources and reduce the people and the environmental impact while extending the life of the component. This new material technology adds 10,000+ hours before requiring repair, as compared to chrome plating that lasts about 2,000 hours before requiring a change. HIH DURABIDE has a low coefficient of friction, high torsion resulting in excellent wear resistance. Any waste product from our component repair and restoration process is then recycled through our HIH-CARBIDE RECYCLING program.
